Dominick A. Cademartori passed away the morning of August 9. Dom was born on July 6, 1929, the youngest of four brothers who stayed close all their lives. After graduating from Syracuse University in the class of 1952, Dom served his country as a Marine during the Korean war. He spent his entire professional career in the sugar industry where he served as an executive/owner of a trading house, and on numerous industry and USDA advisory boards. Dom was an avid golfer and a lifelong student of history, in particular of the American Civil war. By far, Dom will be remembered most as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was married to Jean nee Reilly for nearly 53 years who preceded him in death April 2015, and was in his thoughts every day. Dom was an extraordinary father and grandfather, loving, patient and exceedingly supportive. He will be dearly missed by his sons Daniel Cademartori and Peter Cademartori, his daughters Mary Cademartori and Helen Cademartori, by his beloved grandson, Nikolai Cherednichenko and by many nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship has been set up in Dominick's name at his alma mater. Donations may be made in memory of Dominick A. Cademartori to Syracuse University.
