It is with deep sadness that the Conjura Family announces the peaceful passing of Albert "Bud" Conjura, age 88, on May 17, 2017.

Albert's rich and full life began on October 3, 1928 as one of nine children born to Louise and Martin Conjura of Spring Valley, New York. Bud, a lifelong Rockland County resident, married his sweetheart and the love of his life Elsie in July of 1950.

Albert's rich and full life began on October 3, 1928 as one of nine children born to Louise and Martin Conjura of Spring Valley, New York. Bud, a lifelong Rockland County resident, married his sweetheart and the love of his life Elsie in July of 1950.

Albert is survived by his loving wife of 67 years; Elsie, daughter; Kristyne and husband Thomas, son; Joseph and wife Pamela, five grandchildren;
Michael and wife Shannon, Kimberly and husband Andrew, Christopher, Jeremy and Jillian and four greatgrandchildren; Lucas, Brooklyn, Piper and Zoey.

Bud was honored by the Spring Valley Fire Department Columbian Engine Company on May 13, 2017 for his seventy (70) years of dedicated service with the Chief's Award. He is one of four generations who have served and continue to serve as volunteer firefighters with the Columbian's. "Uncle Bud," to those in the fire service, was also a NY State Fire Instructor at the Fire Training Center in Pomona for 40 years, teaching new and veteran firefighters.

Services will be held at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday, May 21, 2017 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m with a Firematic Service commencing at 8 p.m. that evening. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. followed by burial at the Brick Church Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
